New Year, New Uptime – Our First 2024 Updates

Hi Everyone!

I am thrilled to reconnect with you all through another blog post, offering a glimpse into the latest buzz at Uptime.com. With our team firing on all cylinders, we’ve been hard at work delivering enhancements and exciting new features.

So, without further ado, let’s dive into the latest additions and tease what’s coming up in 2024 – without giving away all the surprises just yet!

Extended StatusPage Subscription Types & Management

Our dedication to enhancing our StatusPages remains unwavering, driven by both our commitment to excellence and the needs of our valued customers. In 2024, Incident Management takes center stage in our endeavors, particularly in ensuring seamless communication during critical incidents, no matter where you or your audience may be.

To bolster this effort, we’ve introduced subscription options for SMS, Webhooks, and RSS, all conveniently managed from your StatusPage subscription interface. This centralized management empowers you to effortlessly handle subscriber lifecycles, providing greater control over who receives updates from your pages. And that’s just the beginning – we have big plans to expand our subscription offerings, aiming to provide the most comprehensive options on the market.

Speaking of our StatusPages, we take pride in offering competitive pricing, allowing you to leverage our platform to effectively communicate with your customers without breaking the bank. Whether its private pages or public communication, our plan can do it all!

Alerts – Front & Center

Alerts have moved to become front and center on the navigation bar side panel. Alerts are crucial and day 1 operation in any operational focused product. We have moved the Alerts page to a dedicated location in the sidebar as its one of the most frequently used area of our product – rightfully so we hope you systems are always UP but realize that’s not always the case!.

We have some exciting changes coming to our alert model and alert console page this year, including a completely redesigned alerts page to improve navigation, troubleshooting and filtering. More to come on this soon!

Uptime Report Public Sharing

We’ve introduced a nifty new feature that allows you to share a public link to a monitor along with its Uptime Report with any user. Rest assured, we’ve taken steps to ensure that sensitive information is removed from the shared URL while still giving users access to check status and history validation.

This comes in handy when you need to loop in wider team members for troubleshooting an incident or provide specific customers with a direct link to monitor status. And don’t worry, if you prefer to keep things more contained, you can easily disable this feature at the account level.

Preview of 2024

We’ve got some seriously exciting developments in the works for this year but I’ve got to keep things a bit under wraps – you know how it is with the competition lurking around every corner! However, I can give you a little taste of what we got cooking!.

We’re on the brink of unleashing a cutting-edge backend check architecture that’s set to enhance our already top-tier website monitoring platform to even greater heights. This new architecture isn’t just a tweak here and there; it’s a game-changer, packed with technological upgrades, fresh check types, and expanded capabilities that’ll blow your socks off.

But that’s not all. Get ready to experience our revamped front-end platform, gearing up to enter Beta in just a few weeks. This revamped interface isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about functionality. We’re talking about delivering capabilities that are uniquely Uptime.com, but with a smoother, more intuitive user experience.

So, keep your eyes peeled for more updates from the Uptime.com Team. Trust me, you won’t want to miss out on what we’ve got in store for you this year!
