# Uptime.com > Uptime.com is a website, API, and infrastructure monitoring platform. It runs synthetic checks from a global network of probe servers, records real user monitoring data from live traffic, escalates failures through on-call and chat integrations, and publishes public or private status pages. The platform is built around checks. A check targets one endpoint, runs on a schedule from one or more probe locations, and raises an alert when it fails. Check types include HTTP(S), API, Transaction (scripted multi-step browser flows), Page Speed, Real User Monitoring, DNS, SSL Certificate, WHOIS and RDAP domain expiry, Domain Blacklist, Malware/Virus, ICMP ping, TCP, UDP, SSH, FTP(S), SFTP, SMTP, IMAP, POP, NTP, Heartbeat (cron and background job monitoring), Incoming Webhook, Network, Cloud Status, and Group checks that combine several checks into a single alerting unit. Checks run from public probe servers worldwide or from private locations installed inside a customer network. Everything in the product is scriptable through a public REST API with a published OpenAPI schema, and an official Terraform provider is available. ## Product - [Products overview](https://uptime.com/products): Every monitoring, alerting, and reporting capability in one place. - [Solutions](https://uptime.com/solutions): Monitoring approaches grouped by problem rather than by product. - [Enterprise](https://uptime.com/enterprise): Multi-team accounts, subaccounts, SLAs, and enterprise support. - [Integrations](https://uptime.com/integrations): Push alerts and metrics to Slack, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, Datadog, webhooks, and other destinations. - [Secure vault](https://uptime.com/secure-vault): Encrypted storage for credentials used by transaction and authenticated checks. - [Probe server locations](https://uptime.com/probe-server-locations): Where checks run from worldwide. ## Monitoring types - [Website monitoring](https://uptime.com/website-monitoring): HTTP(S) uptime, response time, and content checks. - [API monitoring](https://uptime.com/api-monitoring): Multi-step API checks with assertions on status, headers, and response bodies. - [Synthetic monitoring](https://uptime.com/synthetic-monitoring): Scripted browser transactions covering login, checkout, and other critical flows. - [Real user monitoring](https://uptime.com/real-user-monitoring): Performance data collected from actual visitor sessions. - [Page speed monitoring](https://uptime.com/page-speed-monitoring): Scheduled Lighthouse-style page performance audits. - [Private location monitoring](https://uptime.com/private-location-monitoring): Checks that run from inside a private network or VPC. - [Group checks](https://uptime.com/group-checks): Roll several checks into one status to control alert noise. - [Network monitoring](https://uptime.com/network-monitoring-software): ICMP, TCP, UDP, and device-level network checks. - [SSL monitoring](https://uptime.com/ssl-monitoring): Certificate validity and expiry alerting. - [WHOIS and domain monitoring](https://uptime.com/whois-domain-monitoring): Domain registration and expiry tracking. - [Port monitoring](https://uptime.com/port-monitoring): Availability of individual TCP and UDP ports. - [FTP monitoring](https://uptime.com/ftp-monitoring): FTP, FTPS, and SFTP server availability. - [Heartbeat monitoring](https://uptime.com/heartbeat-cron-job-monitoring): Detect cron jobs and background tasks that stop reporting in. - [Webhook monitoring](https://uptime.com/webhook-monitoring): Ingest incoming webhooks from external systems as check results. ## Alerting, status pages, and reporting - [Alerting](https://uptime.com/alerting): Escalation rules and notifications by email, SMS, voice, push, and chat. - [Status pages](https://uptime.com/status-page): Public and private status pages with incident and maintenance communication. - [Status page monitoring](https://uptime.com/status-page-monitoring): Track the status pages of third-party providers you depend on. - [Reporting](https://uptime.com/reporting): SLA, uptime, and response time reports. ## API and developer tools - [API documentation](https://uptime.com/api/v1/docs/): Reference for the public REST API v1. - [OpenAPI schema](https://uptime.com/api/v1/openapi/): Machine-readable JSON schema for the same API. - [Terraform provider](https://registry.terraform.io/providers/uptime-com/uptime/latest): Manage checks, contacts, and status pages as code. - [API changelog](https://status.uptime.com/statuspage/api-changelog): Breaking changes and additions to the API. ## Documentation and support - [Support center](https://support.uptime.com): Product documentation, how-to guides, and troubleshooting. - [Getting started guide](https://support.uptime.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001311220-Getting-Started-With-Uptime-com): First checks, contacts, and alerts. - [Overview of checks](https://support.uptime.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002533889-Overview-of-Checks): What each check type does and when to use it. - [Product changelog](https://uptime.com/changelog): Recent releases and product updates. - [System status](https://status.uptime.com): Live availability of Uptime.com itself. - [Feature requests](https://feedback.uptime.com): Public roadmap and feature voting. ## Pricing and sign-up - [Pricing](https://uptime.com/pricing): Plan tiers, billing options, current trial terms, and where new accounts are started. - [Log in](https://uptime.com/accounts/login): Existing customer sign-in. - [Request a demo](https://uptime.com/request-demo): Guided walkthrough with the sales team. - [Free page speed test](https://uptime.com/freetools/pagespeed): One-off page performance test, no account required. ## Company and policies - [About](https://uptime.com/about): Company background and mission. - [Team](https://uptime.com/team): Leadership and staff. - [Careers](https://uptime.com/careers): Open positions. - [Contact](https://uptime.com/contact): Sales and support contact details.
